Why It’s Getting Hard for Groups of Friends to Rent Homes

Last Updated on 2024-03-20 by Tom

In recent years, a common practice among friends to team up and rent a home has faced a significant hurdle. The tightening of rental insurance policies by insurance companies has led to complications for such arrangements. These companies now view group renting situations as higher risk, resulting in refusals to offer rental insurance coverage.

As a consequence, many of the rental homes within our community are unable to secure insurance policies to accommodate group renting scenarios. Regrettably, this means that we must decline such cases.

This change underscores the evolving landscape of rental policies and the challenges they present for prospective tenants. While we strive to facilitate housing arrangements within our community, we must also adhere to insurance requirements to ensure the safety and security of all residents.
