Culfidant Philosophy - The Foundation
Culfidant is a newly coined word, blending culture and confidant. At its core, it represents a deep belief that people from different cultural backgrounds can become true friends—not in spite of their differences, but because of them.
This belief traces back to the founder’s childhood. At the age of seven, growing up in China, he learned the story of Dr. Norman Bethune, a Canadian doctor who traveled to China during World War II to provide medical care for wounded soldiers. He worked tirelessly, saving lives on the battlefield, and ultimately sacrificed his own due to overwork and exhaustion. This story left a profound impact on the young boy.
Years later, as an independent immigrant to Canada, he faced struggles but was also uplifted by the genuine friendships he formed with local people—despite their vastly different cultural backgrounds. These experiences deeply affirmed his belief that real, lasting bonds can be built on care, trust, and human decency.
We believe that society has moved beyond mere survival to a new era of connection and cooperation—one where people from all walks of life can come together to create something greater. This conviction is what inspired our founder to start this company: to build a better-connected world, where people from different backgrounds unite through care, trust, and human decency.
How Flying Stone Canada Was Born
To be honest, we didn’t actually know exactly how our vision would come to life or how we would turn our philosophy into reality. But one day, a simple concept hit us like a lightning bolt. On the surface, it may seem impossible—after all, stones can’t fly, right? However, if we shift our perspective, things begin to look different. Suddenly, we realize that the invisible dust floating in the air can be seen as tiny little flying stones. And when we look far into the universe, the massive planets and stars are, in essence, gigantic stones floating in space.
This shift in perspective sparked something in us—an understanding that by changing the way we see the world, we can make the impossible happen naturally. That’s when we decided to create our company and name it Flying Stone Canada.
But why Canada? There are three key reasons.
First, we want to honor the Canadian doctor who inspired our founder from a young age.
Second, Canada gave us the opportunity to turn our vision into action and test our ideas in a place where innovation thrives.
Third, we believe that Canada’s foundation of multiculturalism is one of the greatest strengths of this nation. It allows people from diverse backgrounds to connect and collaborate through win-win efforts.
And so, Flying Stone Canada was born. We firmly believe that the most effective way to change the world for the better is through entrepreneurship—something inspired by the legendary Steve Jobs.
