Culfidant Scholarship Executive Committee

is an honored panel consisted of 3-5 volunteers who have been strongly supporting the cause of culfidant, that is, to build a community where meaningful friendship are boned among people from various cultures across the world. Besides being distinguished achievers/leaders in their various professions, they are also  passionately working on connecting the world that we can share happily via various paths.

The Committee is responsible for reviewing the application of the scholarship, and makes regular review and final decision to grant the scholarship. The “Year 2018 Culfidant Scholarship Executive Committee” is consisted by the following three honorable members:


Clive Dewar, P. Eng., 

Clive is a Gasoline and Diesel Products Trader with Suncor Energy Inc. An engineer by training he has spent 17 years in the Oil and Gas industry.  He and his wife are also keen real estate investors who believe that renting well managed, good quality properties to people from all walks of life helps to build vibrant communities with strong cultural ties.  Clive and his wife have three kids and currently reside in the Greater Toronto, Ontario area.



Michael Oli, P. Eng., 

Michael is a Sr. Associate Chemical Engineer registered as a P.Eng APEGA member working in the oil sands industry. He has over 16 years of experience as a project and process engineering design engineer, operations engineer, process control engineer and process safety engineer. He has a BSc. (Hon) in Cellular Molecular Microbiology from the University of Calgary, a BSc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, dual MBA degrees from Queen’s University and Cornell University. He is also a registered CPA, CMA in the province of Alberta. Currently he works for Syncrude Canada Ltd. He has been an active volunteer for APEGA and the community. He currently volunteers for the Fort McMurray APEGA branch and other community activities.


  Lucy Liu, P.Eng., & Licenced Realtor

Lucy worked as a process engineer in oil industry internationally for over 17 years. She is also the co-founder of Flying Stone Canada to make impossible happen naturally. She is a strong believer and advocate that a connected world where people from different cultures are living in harmony is our shared brighter future. She currently manages business daily operation and development. She enjoys music, cooking, traveling and swimming.
